Tasked as the sole designer for a new version of BlenderHouse's Home page.

The website will soon be out of Beta developement, and deployed to a live, public server. I used photoshop for the wireframes and mockups, and created the working page using HTML, CSS, and php. Don't forget to visit the live site. Link.

Currently, I am working with BlenderHouse on an un announced iPhone Game.

Here is a quick peek at a few of the art pieces I have been working on. Can't tell much more, don't want to ruin the surprise of the release.

Flash eLearning Design

Here are a few illustrations I drew for a client to be used in a Flash based software project.

These illustratons were used in conjunction with other elements to create an eLearning software package for a Fortune 500 company. These three elements were designed and created in about ten hours time.

Currently, I am developing and designing a web presence for Patterson Technologies. I have included some screens for preview.

Here is a link to the live work in progress version. I am still awaiting some copy from the client.
Environments

Bio-Tech Storage
Bio-Tech Storage evolved from an interior space assignment that challenged me to create an atmosphere with color theory and design in mind. Most everything was built and textured in the span of three weeks, while working on one other project of similar scope.

The most frustrating part of this project was achieving a lighting scene that echoed the target mood of the piece. Overall, my favored area of this industrial, storage environment is the section with the water filled, algae-encrusted tanks.

Completion Time : 35-50 hrs

Seedy Future
Seedy Future was created, textured and lit in two weeks as the environment for a pre-rendered cut scene. The scene was completed while working on two other similar scope projects. The challenge of this project was to create something visually appealing in a short period of time, without putting aside the other projects on my task list.

The interior space is set in the near future in a state of disrepair. In this space, the anti-hero waits after luring his victim to this secluded place. My favorite part of this scene, is the way the lighting plays on the minimalistic surroundings. The light red light from the hallway and the volumetric from the window add interest and character to the drab, dusty surroundings.

Completion Time : 20-30 hrs
Temperate Courtyard
Temperate Courtyard was built, textured and lit in the span of five weeks. During these five weeks, I had one other time intensive class. For me, I challenged myself to build this environment as close to real life as possible, but still retain efficient polygon flow and use. I made sure I included all the small details and built, as if I was using real materials in the real world.

The setting is real world, present day. If I had to choose a favorite part of this scene, it would be the mood of the piece. I look at it and hear light hearted, happy Jimmy Buffett island music.

Completion Time : 25-35 hrs

Environment Props

Propane Field Generator
This prop was built in 3D Studio Max with the aid of zBrush for normals. The ideation came from a game company located in Washington state. This was my results from the object test they challenged me to.

Overall, the best thing about this piece is that I documented my time and process. It was interesting to see the time spent in each creation phase. If I have time to revamp this model, I would add more texture space for the green metal areas, and lessen the devoted space given to the lower part of the model. I would also look into placing the decales on their own texture.

Completion Time : 34.48 hrs
Ecopoiesis Terra
Ecopoiesis Terra arose from a one week build assignment. I started with fifty silo thumbnails and chose the silhouette that was most appealing to me. From there I drew up some concepts, decided on a design, and began creating. The target genre was a sci-fi tower structure for a hilly or mountainous terrain.

Overall, the best thing about this piece is the mix between long vertical lines and the smooth sweeping curves of the silhouette.

Completion Time : 15-20 hrs
Bloodriver Props
These props were created for the Unreal 3 Engine. The occupied environment was a riverbed mining camp in Sierra Leone. After creating base geometry in 3D Studio Max, I used Zbrush for the creation of the high poly normal versions.

Real life reference was used for the ideation process, and i built upon photo-realistic textures in Photoshop for the diffuse maps. The roof on the main structure is a little higher in tri's than i envisioned, but I think the poly cost offsets the advantage to having a more interesting silhouette.

Completion Time : 10-15 hrs

Terra Cotta
Terra Cotta was a quick, last minute addition to a semi-finished environment that was in the need of props. The biggest challenge for this quick project was in fine tuning my work flow process, and keeping the build time short.

For vegetation, I scanned leaves from some house plants and put together these pots and plants in one week. I am very happy with the normal maps I created in zbrush. These props make a great addition to the Temperate Courtyard.

Completion Time : 6-8 hrs
